Mechanical Tempest is Wellington’s community bike workshop! You can come here to fix your bike, build one out of our bits and pieces, and learn about what you need to do to keep your bike running smoothly and safely.

Revolve -

Revolve is a cycling group for women in Wellington. They hold regular group rides both on and off road.

Frocks on bikes -

Frocks on Bikes’s mission is to get more women riding bikes, however they want and wearing whatever they like. Keep an eye out for their events and courses.

Wellington Tramping and Mountaineering Club -

Wellington Tramping and Mountaineering Club do everything outdoors, including some mountain-bike rides throughout the year. These trips do require mountain-bike experience and fitness.

Pedal Ready -

Pedal Ready holds regular and free courses for adults wanting to learn how to ride a bike.

PNP hold events, training and races for all skill levels for mountain biking, road riding, and track riding.

Wellington Masters Cycling

Wellington Masters holds regular races and training events for road riders of masters age (35+ men and 30+ women). 


The Onslow Cycling is a Wellington-based road cycling group with a focus on improving fitness and riding technique, riding safely and having fun.

USO raises the profile and importance of health and wellbeing for Pacific and Maori by riding a bike, they hold seasonal road rides for different skill levels in Wellington.


SANZ is a Wellington-based Saturday road cycling group. Their motto is 'social riders with serious intent' with the emphasis on social.
