“The primary reason I cycle is that, from pretty much anywhere within 5km, it’s the fastest, cheapest form of transport — and it requires the least amount of planning. I don’t have to look at a schedule, I don’t have to find $2 for a fare and I don’t have to find a park. I’m not time-bound by buses that stop early in the evening. I can go to and from any time I like.”

“I started regularly riding a bike after missing a movie because I couldn't find a park after driving around and around. Now, I plan activities so I don't even need to take the car, and consider how I will get there on my bike. If I'm going to a show in town, or to a restaurant, I can actually get there more quickly.”

“The first time I rode up Brooklyn hill was still really difficult, but now I can ride up Ohiro Road in seconds. I’ve gotten fitter using my eBike. It’s such a feeling of freedom. I love it. It’s quicker than using a car. There’s no parking hassle. I love it because I know that I’m making a difference for the planet, I’m making a difference for my health — and for the guy that’s driving around in circles looking for a park.”
